Kelly has competed internationally in such places as South Africa, Canada, Morocco, South America, Mexico and the Caribbean. He has two international victories winning the 1989 Victoria Open and the 1991 Manitoba Open. Kelly has been victorious in the United States, winning the 1991 Ben Hogan Tri-Cities Open and the 1999 Nike Oregon Classic. He joined the PGA Tour in 1992 and earned veteran member status in 2000. His career earnings exceed $2,000,000.00. Kelly's best finish on the PGA Tour was a tie for 3rd in the Las Vegas Invitational where he missed a playoff with Tiger Woods and Davis Love by one stroke. Tiger went on to win his first PGA Tour event. Kelly has played with some of the best players in the game, Jack Nicklaus, Tom Watson, Greg Norman and Tiger Woods. However, the two highlights of his career were the round of golf with President Clinton at English Turn and the golf lessons he gave supermodel Cindy Crawford, which Kelly states "It was the best 9 hours, 12 minutes and 32 seconds of my life". |
